Pillar 01 — Brand
Brand
Naming, identity, positioning and design for hospitality businesses of every size — whole brands, and the outlets and sub-brands inside them.
Who you’re for, why you win, and how it looks — settled before anything gets built.
Whole hotel and hospitality brands; F&B concepts, spas, sports clubs, kids and teens clubs, villa and suite concepts inside them. We name things, position them, design them and write the guidelines a team can actually follow.
Naming a new restaurant, hotel, studio or product
We start with positioning — who it’s for and why it wins — then develop name routes with rationale, screen them for trademark and domain conflicts, and test the shortlist in real applications: the sign, the menu, the Instagram grid. You get a name with a story, not a list of words. A name alone takes two to three weeks.
Logo and full visual identity — colour, type, applications
Logo and wordmark, colour palette, typography, photography direction, and the applications that prove it works: menus, signage, digital. Delivered with guidelines a team can follow without us in the room.
Brand strategy and positioning: who you’re for, why you win
It is the decision about who you serve, what you charge and why a guest picks you over the place next door. It comes before naming, identity and space — everything gets easier once it is settled.
Concept development for a new outlet or sub-brand
Yes. A restaurant inside a hotel, a spa, a kids club, a villa product — we define the idea, the audience, the offer and the look, ready for design and operations to execute.
Menu design, signage, uniforms, collateral and touchpoints
Yes — the touchpoints are where a brand becomes real. Menu design, signage and wayfinding direction, uniform direction, printed and digital collateral, all under one identity.
Brand guidelines a team can actually follow
Short rules, real examples, and the files your team and suppliers actually need. We write guidelines for the people who use them on a busy Tuesday night — not for a shelf.
Rebrand or refresh of a tired identity
When the numbers say the brand is tired: flat repeat rates, discount dependence, a look the team is embarrassed to share. Sometimes it is a refresh, not a rebrand — we tell you honestly which you need.
Brand architecture: how outlets relate to the master brand
The rules for how outlets, spas and clubs relate to the property’s master brand — what carries the hotel’s name, what stands alone, and why. It prevents a lobby of competing logos.
Launch campaign concept and creative
Yes — concept and creative for the opening: the idea, the assets, the rollout across channels. Built hand in hand with the pre-opening demand plan under Demand.
Brochure and collateral design
Yes — investor decks, leasing brochures, fact sheets, in-room print. Designed in the identity and written in plain language.
Packaging design for print
Yes — takeaway, retail, amenities and gifting, designed for print with production-ready artwork.
Presentation and deck design
Yes — investor, operator and sales decks that look like the brand and read in one sitting.
Copy and content writing for all channels
Yes — naming lines, website copy, menus, social and email. One voice across every channel, set by the brand’s tone rules.
How long does a naming or identity project take?
A name alone: two to three weeks. A full identity — name, logo, colour, type, applications and guidelines: six to ten weeks, depending on rounds and stakeholders.
Do you brand single outlets inside an existing hotel?
Yes. Whole brands and everything inside them. An outlet, a spa, a kids club or a villa product can each be scoped as a single task.
What does branding cost?
Fixed fee per defined scope, quoted after one conversation. A single task costs a fraction of a full identity — and The Hour exists so you can find out where you stand cheaply.
We already have a logo. Can you work with it?
Yes. We refresh it, extend it, or build the missing pieces around it: guidelines, applications, campaign creative.
